PHYSIOLOGY & REPRODUCTION

        Major areas of research work undertaken in the Division include: diagnosis, treatment and prevention of female infertility; reproductive physiology semen biology and cryopreservation of semen; reproductive biotechniques viz. IVF and embryo sexing; physiological profiles including biochemical, haematological and hormonal parameters; endocrinology; and physiology of mammary gland development, function and induced lactation. Laboratories of the Division are well equipped for research on these aspects with Computer Assisted Semen Analyzer, Photometer, Micromanipulator, Ultrasound Scanner, Blood biochemistry autoanalyser, Co2 Incubators etc. The scientist of BPR division have recently bagged to externally funded projects ( with total grant of over Rs. 1.77 cores ) for research on adult stem cell technology and physiological and genomic regulation of follicular development, oocytematuration and embryogenesis.
