Director is the principal executive head of the institute and is chairman of the Institute Management Committee as well as the staff research council (SRC). Research Advisory Committee (RAC) suggests research programmes based on national and global context for guiding research in the thrust areas, besides reviewing the research achievements of the institute and its consistency in accordance with the mandate of the institute.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF CIRB

The Institute Joint Staff Council (IJSC) looks after the grievances and welfare of the staff of the institute.

INSTITUTE RESEARCH COUNCIL (IRC) meetings are held twice a year, usually in the months of July and December and are chaired by the Director. IRC accords approval and reviews the progress of all Institute funded projects being undertaken by the scientists of the Institute, progress of collaborative projects, Network projects, etc.

Relevant research and extension activities at the institute are looked after by the respective Heads/Incharges of Divisions/Sections and by the Officer Incharge at the Sub-Campus.
